Industrial metals have found support on expectations for a strengthening U.S. economy. January platinum PLF4 -0.13% rose $26.20 an ounce, or 2%, to $1,362.70. March palladium PAH4 +0.14% gained $5.30, or 0.8%, to settle at $700.75 ounce.
March high-grade copper futures HGH4 -0.71% rose 3 cents, or 0.9%, to $3.40 a pound.
