In other trading on Tuesday, Brent crude for February UK:LCOG4 -0.02%   rose 9 cents, or 0.1%, to $111.65 a barrel.

January natural gas NGF14 +0.34%   climbed 2 cents, or 0.4%, to $4.48 per million British thermal units, and January gasoline RBF4 -0.04%  remained flat at $2.78 a gallon.
