In other trading on Thursday, Brent crude for February UK:LCOG4 +0.15% rose 18 cents, or 0.2%, to $112.08 a barrel.

January natural gas NGF14 +0.61%   advanced 3 cents, or 0.7%, to $4.45 per million British thermal units, and January gasoline RBF4 +0.18%  rose 1 cent, or 0.3%, to $2.82 a gallon.
