Epic Research Singapore : European Market Update

The Stoxx Europe 600 index XX:SXXP -0.33% rose 0.3% to 329.31, with Siemens AG DE:SIE +0.03% SI +0.09% up over 1% while BASF SE DE:BAS -0.87% rose 1.4%. The German DAX 30 index DX:DAX -0.59% was among the strongest country-specific performers, up 0.7% to 9,614.63. The French CAC 40 index FR:PX1 -0.71% rose 0.2% to 4,304.89 and the FTSE 100 index UK:UKX -0.37% was flat at 6,752.85. Shares of Fiat SpA F +0.07% jumped 14% after the Italian auto maker said it will pay $1.75 billion in cash for the rest of Chrysler Group LLC that it doesn't already own.
