In other metals trading, July platinum PLN5, -0.12%  fell $6, or 0.5%, to $1,142.80 an ounce, while June palladium PAM5, -0.30%  fell $2.30, or 0.3%, to $792.65 an ounce. 

July copper HGN5, -0.48%  shed just under a cent to $2.926 a pound.
