Back on Nymex, November gasoline RBX5, +3.67% climbed by 5.5 cents, or 4.1%, to $1.405 a gallon, with the contract up 2.8% for the month, while November heating oil HOX5, +1.23% tacked on 2.5 cents, or 1.7%, to $1.50 a gallon, suffering a monthly loss of about 2.5%.December natural gas NGZ15, +2.13% ended at $2.321 per million British thermal units, up 6.4 cents, or 2.8%. Month to date, prices based on the most-active contracts were down about 8%.
