SGX, SIA, Keppel, Food Empire, Magnus Energy, China Everbright Water

The following stocks may be in focus today:

Singapore Exchange says a total of 41 Mainboard companies will be placed on SGX Watch-list from Thursday because they do not comply with the minimum trading price (MTP) requirement. In addition, two companies will be added to the watch-list on the same day because they failed to meet both profitability and market value requirements. Of the total 76 companies now on the watch-list, 41 are on it for flouting only the MTP rule and 19 for failing only the profitability and market value rules. The rest of the 16 are on the list for flouting both the MTP rule and profitability and market value rules.

Singapore Airlines has taken delivery of its first Airbus A350-900 from the Airbus Delivery Centre in Toulouse. SIA says the new plane will offer customers an improved travelling experience with features, such as higher ceilings, larger windows, an extra wide body and lighting designed to reduce jet lag. The airlines has ordered 67 Airbus A350s. The initial batch of A350s will be fitted with 253 seats in three classes: 42 in Business Class, 24 in Premium Economy Class and 187 in Economy Class.

Keppel Land, the property arm of Keppel Corp, has agreed to subscribe to  a 40% interest in Empire City LLC for a total consideration of US$93.9 million ($131.6 million). The other joint venture partners in Empire City include Vietnamese companies Tien Phuoc Real Estate Joint Stock Company and Tran Thai Real Estate Co., as well as Hong Kong-based real estate private equity fund Gaw Capital Partners. Keppel Land and its partners will jointly develop a prime 14.6-hectare waterfront site in the Thu Thiem New Urban Area, located in District 2 of Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC), Vietnam. The planned development will comprise premium residential apartments, office and retail properties as well as an 86-storey integrated mixed-use tower complex.
