In other metals trading, copper for July HGN6, -0.25% settled down 4.75 cents, or 2.1%, at $2.2190 a pound. Platinum for July PLN6, -0.81% fell $14.80, or 1.4%, to end at $1,071.60 an ounce, while palladium for June delivery PAM6, -0.67% dropped $15.90, or 2.5%, to close at $608.85 an ounce.
