On Nymex, November gasoline RBX3 -1.32% shed almost 2 cents, or 0.7%, to $2.63 a gallon, closing about a half cent below the October contract’s close at the end of September. November heating oil closed down 1 cent, or 0.4%, at $2.98 a gallon, about a penny higher than the October contract’s close at September’s end.
