Elsewhere on Nymex Tuesday, prices for August gasoline RBQ5, -0.18%  nearly a cent, or 0.5%, to $1.931 a gallon and heating oil for the same month HOQ5, +0.21%  tacked on less than a penny to $1.725 a gallon.

August natural gas NGQ15, +0.04%  settled down 2.4 cents, or 0.8%, at $2.84 per million British thermal units.
