Cityneon gets Transformers boost

Cityneon Holdings is tapping the power of Autobots and Deceptacons.

The company says wholly-owned subsidiary Dayspring Entertainment has won a deal with toymakers Hasbro, Inc. relating to the licensing of the Transformers sequel of movies and toy line.

Dayspring will have exclusive rights to use the Transformers brand in connection with the development, staging, production, promotion, and advertisement of the Exhibits of Transformers at approved venues in the world but excluding the city of Indianapolis, Indiana and the country of Japan.

The first exhibition is expected to be open in 2016.

Dayspring is also allowed to develop and manufacture merchandises based on the exhibits, and the right to advertise and sell such merchandises at the identified venues.

The exclusive right is for period until June 30, 2023.

In April, Cityneon said it was acquiring exhibition producer, Victory Hill Exhibitions - known for its travelling interactive exhibition, Marvel's The Avengers S.T.AT.I.O.N - from Philadelphia Investments.

The purchase price for all 100,000 shares will consist of $10 million in cash and the issuance of 45 million new Cityneon shares at $0.20 per share upon completion of the purchase.

Cityneon closed at 20 cents on Tuesday.
