Triyards Holdings has extended its product range to include escort tugs to meet the demands of new client Greenbay Marine, a Singapore-based international specialist marine craft group.
Worth some US$12.8 million ($18.2 million), Greenbay Marine has contracted Triyards to build four RAstar 3400 Azimuth Stern Drive Tugs.
They are expected to be delivered by early 2017.
Powered by 4,400kW engines, each of the 34-metre tug will be specially constructed for escort operations in adverse sea and weather conditions.
The new build contract adds to Triyards’ earnings visibility for fiscal year ending Aug 2017.
As at Oct, the group’s order book stood at US$564 million.
Shares in Triyards closed 2.44% lower at 40 cents on Monday.
