Sim Lian acquires two retail properties in Queensland for A$70 mil

Sim Lian Group is acquiring two properties in Queensland, Australia, for A$70 million ($71.2 million).

They are Woolworths Shopping Centre and Masters Home Improvement Everton Park.

The properties offer complementary retail offerings in adjoining sites totalling 55,730 sqm and are positioned at the intersection of South Pine Road and Stafford Road.

The properties will be acquired by SLG Property Trust II through a newly constituted sub-trust, SLG Everton Park Trust.

Woolworths Shopping Centre, which started trading in May 2015, occupies a site area of 17,070 sqm. The shopping centre is anchored by a full-line Woolworths supermarket occupying 71% of the total Gross Lettable Area of 5,687 sqm. The other tenants within the Shopping Centre include medical-related services, food and beverage outlets and a gymnasium.

The Masters Home Improvement Store spans 13,750 sqm on a site area of 38,660 sqm, is securely leased on a 15-year term. The Masters Home Improvement Store offers over 35,000 different product lines from electronic appliances to outdoor furniture.

Sim Lian closed at 74 cents on Friday.
