Ezra non-executive chairman Koh Poh Tiong retires; to be replaced by founder Lee Kian Soo

Ezra Holdings, the provider of integrated offshore solutions to the oil and gas industry, announced that Koh Poh Tiong, the group’s non-executive chairman, will step down with effect from February. He will also relinquish his role as senior advisor to the group.

“This is to enable him to focus on his work with the other organisations that he is involved in,” said Ezra in a filing on Friday night.

Succeeding him is Lee Kian Soo, the group founder, who will assume the position of non-executive chairman.

Koh joined Ezra’s board as non-executive vice chairman and senior advisor in 2011 and has helmed the group since the beginning of 2013.

He is a corporate veteran with more than 45 years of experience.

His tenure saw the listing of Triyards Holdings in 2012 and the consolidation of EMAS Marine division into EOC Limited, forming EMAS Offshore in 2014.

Lee has been in the shipping and offshore support services industry for more than 40 years, and in 1992, he founded Ezra. He is currently the chairman of the boards of EMAS Offshore and Triyards Holdings, both subsidiaries of Ezra.

Ezra closed 2.9% lower at 10 cents on Friday.
