AusGroup has started the process to solicit and consider offers for the acquisition of the group’s scaffolding and access business.
The Marine and offshore engineering firm says this is in response to a number of expressions of interest from third parties.
The disposal, if it proceeds, may be subject to the approval of shareholders and noteholders.
The group will however retain its fabrication and manufacturing; project and maintenance services; and port and marine services businesses.
AusGroup's scaffolding and access business is conducted through its wholly-owned subsidiaries MAS Australasia Pty Ltd, Modern Access Services Singapore Pte Ltd and AusGroup Corporation Co Ltd trading as MAS Thailand.
It has appointed Macquarie Capital (Australia) as the financial advisor to undertake the process.
AusGroup closed 0.97% higher at 10.4 cents.
