Developer Bukit Sembawang Estates says FY16 earnings slipped 0.8% to $92 million, or 35.53 cents per share, from a year ago. Revenue fell 26.3% to$282 million. The counter closed 1 cent higher at $4.41 on Thursday.
IHH Healthcare (IHH), the private healthcare provider, reported 1Q earnings rose 37.3% to MYR 235.5 million ($79.4 million) from a year ago on stronger revenue performance. Revenue rose 24% to MYR 2.48 billion a year ago. IHH Healthcare closed at $2.25.
SingHaiyi’s earnings fell nearly half to $8.4 million in 4Q from a year ago. Revenue surged 63.8% to $8.1 million, due to contribution from DBSS project Pasir Ris One and sales of completed units from Vietnam Town in US. Shares of SingHaiyi ended at 11.8 cents.
Electrical, IT and furniture retailer Courts Asia reported FY16 earnings rose 16.8% to $20.3 million. Full-year revenue edged up 1.6% to $770.4 million. Shares of Courts Asia closed at 33.5 cents.
Luxury watch retailer Cortina Holdings posted 49% lower earnings of $8.5 million than last year. Revenue for the full year slipped 9% to $367.3 million, from $404.7 million in FY15. The stock last closed at 77 cents.
Hiap Seng Engineering brushed aside losses last year to post earnings of $6.0 million in FY16, as sales bounced back in 4Q. Revenue fell 33.7% to $167.9 million, mainly due to lower recognition of project revenue. Hiap Seng closed at 13.3 cents.
