SINGAPORE share prices opened higher on Wednesday with the Straits Times Index (STI) up 8.8 points to 2,856.89 as at 9am. US markets closed higher overnight.
Top gainers in early morning trade included the three Singapore banks: DBS, OCBC, and UOB. Some 57.7 million shares worth S$65.6 million changed hands, with gainers outnumbering losers 84 to 43.
