February gold GCG4 +0.07% last traded at $1,221.80 an ounce in electronic trading on Globex, after settling at $1,225.50 on the Comex division of Nymex, down $4.10, or 0.3%, ahead of the Fed minutes. February crude CLG4 +0.25% was at $92.71 a barrel, down 96 cents, or 1%, shortly before the Nymex close. It was trading around $92.74 before the Fed minutes.
