Oil futures finished with a slight loss, finding support from a hefty drop in distillate supplies, but pressured by concerns surrounding emerging markets and their potential to dull global energy demand.
February natural gas NGG14 +12.99% climbed 52 cents, or 10%, to settle at $5.557 per million British thermal units. That was the highest settlement level for font-month futures since Jan. 2010 and the largest one-day percentage gain since June 2012.
