Epic Research Singapore : U.S Market Update

Sentiment was helped somewhat by firmer overseas markets, and traders also took in trade deficit data and comments from Federal Reserve officials.

Futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average DJH4 +0.56%  rose 61 points, or 0.4%, to 16,426, while those for the S&P 500 index SPH4 +0.04%  added 6.20 points, or 0.3%, to 1,826.90.

Futures for the Nasdaq 100 index NDH4 +0.04%  gained 16 points, or 0.5%, to 3,533.75.
