Natural-gas futures perked up in electronic trade
Thursday, resuming their upward trend ahead of data that may show a
drawdown in weekly supply of the commodity.
March natural gas rose 16 cents, or 3.1%, to $5.19 per million
British thermal units. The move came before the U.S. Energy Information
Administration releases its natural-gas inventory report for the week
ended Jan. 31. Analysts polled by Platts expect a withdrawal of between
273 billion and 277 billion cubic feet for the week.
