Epic Research Singapore : Nikkei 225 Index Closing Update

Tokyo stocks fell 0.54 per cent Wednesday, taking a soft lead from Wall Street after disappointing data on US housing and consumer confidence. The Nikkei-225 index was down 80.63 points at 14,970.97, while the Topix index of all first section shares fell 0.67 per cent, or 8.31 points, to 1,225.35.

Japan's Topix closes 0.7% lower at 1,225.35
