Gold prices fell on Tuesday as the metal lost some of its perceived
safe-haven attraction amid hopes that the standoff between western
powers and Russia over Ukraine could be easing.
Gold for April delivery GCJ4 -0.83% fell $11.70, or 0.9%, to $1,338.70 an ounce. May silver SIK4 -1.12% gave up 23 cents, or 1%, to $21.25 an ounce.
