Gold got off to a sluggish start on Monday, leaning lower as last week’s
crowded economic calendar gave way to a stretch light on scheduled
reports.
Gold for April delivery GCJ4 -0.38% fell $5.40, or 0.4%, to $1,332.80 an ounce in electronic trade, while May silver SIK4 -1.04% shed 15 cents, or 0.7%, to $20.78 an ounce.
