In metals trading, July platinum PLN4 -1.13%  shed $15.20, or 1%, to $1,413.50. June palladium PAM4 -1.62% slid $14.10, or 1.8%, to $793 an ounce.  High-grade copper for May delivery HGK4 -0.13%  gave up a penny to $3.04 a pound.
