In metals trading, July platinum PLN4 -0.49%  shed $4.70, or 0.3%, to $1,440.80 an ounce, while June palladium PAM4 -0.31%  gave up $2.05, or 0.3%, $786.80 an ounce. 
 

High -grade copper for May delivery HGK4 +0.59%  added one cent to $3.03 a pound.
