Oil futures lost ground Tuesday, giving back some recent gains ahead of an update on weekly U.S. supply levels as worries about imminent risks to oil production in Iraq soften.
Nymex WTI crude oil for July delivery CLN4 +0.05% fell 54 cets, or 0.5%, to settle at $106.36 a barrel. The contract on Monday shed 1 cent to close at $106.90 a barrel.
ICE August Brent futures UK:LCOQ4 -0.32% lost 7 cents, or 0.1%, to $113.38 a barrel.
Natural-gas futures for July NGN14 +0.15% ended little changed at $4.71 per million British thermal units. July gasoline RBN4 -0.27% turned up 2 cents to $3.08 a gallon.
