July platinum PLN4 +0.65%   slid $39.80, or 2.7%, to $1,441.30 an ounce on Comex, and September palladium PAU4 +1.05%  dropped $40.75, or 4.7%, to $819.40 an ounce. 

High-grade copper for July delivery HGN4 +0.45%   dipped by 2.5 cents, or 0.8%, to end at $3.02 a pound.
