The Australian dollar AUDUSD +0.40% , Canadian dollar CADUSD +0.25% and New Zealand dollar NZDUSD +0.28% all rose against the U.S. dollar.
The ICE U.S. Dollar index, a measure of the greenback’s performance against six other currencies, rose to 80.5260 Friday, compared with 80.5050 late Friday.
The WSJ Dollar Index XX:BUXX -0.04% , a measure of the dollar against a basket of major currencies, was up 0.02% at 73.06.
The dollar fell to 35.1210 rubles Friday, retreating from its highest level against the ruble since early May.
