Crude-oil futures on Tuesday ended at their lowest point in six months as traders prepare to parse the week’s inventories reports.
crude futures for September delivery CLU4 +0.25% lost 91 cents, or 0.9%, to settle at $97.38 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange.
September Brent crude on London’s ICE Futures UK:LCOU4 +0.29% exchange also turned lower, ending the session down 80 cents, or 0.8%, at $104.61 a barrel. That was Brent’s lowest settlement since Nov. 7.
