Natural gas for the same month NGV14, +0.26% lost 13 cents, or 3.3%, to trade at $3.8230 per million British thermal units. That was natural gas’s largest one-day percentage and dollar decline in a week.

Heating oil for October HOV4, -0.08% rose less than 1 cent, or 0.1%, to settle at $2.7561 a gallon on Nymex. Gasoline for October delivery RBV4, -0.04% lost less than a penny, or 0.1%, to end at $2.5241 a gallon on Nymex.
