From October 1, Singapore will revise its toll charges at the Causeway to match those set by Malaysia.
In a statement issued on Friday, the Land Transport Authority (LTA) said that toll charges for all vehicles, except motorcycles, will be raised to match the new Malaysian toll.
Cars leaving Singapore will have to pay S$3.80, more than triple the current rate of S$1.20. There will also be a new fee of S$2.70 imposed on cars entering Singapore.
Vans and light goods vehicles will also see a sharp increase in the Causeway toll. They will have to pay S$5.80 when leaving Singapore, up from S$1.90 today, and pay a new S$4 fee when entering Singapore.
