MARKET UPDATES :
- The Straits Times Index (STI) ended +0.94 points higher or +0.03% to 3427.16, taking the year-to-date performance to +1.84%.
- The FTSE ST Mid Cap Index declined -0.43% while the FTSE ST Small Cap Index declined -0.50%. The top active stocks were Sing-Tel (+1.91%), United Engineers (-15.46%), Noble (-7.88%), DBS (+0.42%) and UOB (-1.40%).
- The outperforming sectors today were represented by the FTSE ST Telecommunications Index (+1.76%). The two biggest stocks of the FTSE ST Telecommunications Index are SingTel (+1.91%) and StarHub (+1.19%). The underperforming sector was the FTSE ST Health Care Index, which declined -1.29% with Raffles Medical Group’s share price declining -1.46% and Biosensors International Group’s share price declining -1.49%.
- The three most active Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs) by value today were the IS MSCI India (+0.25%), SPDR Gold Shares (+0.58%), ISHARES USD Asia Bond ETF (unchanged).
- The three most active Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs) by value were Suntec REIT (+0.52%), CapitaCom Trust (+0.28%), CapitaMall Trust (-0.47%).
- The most active index warrants by value today were HSI25000MBeCW150330 (-1.92%), HSI24200MBePW150429 (-4.43%), HSI24400MBePW150330 (-5.93%).
