MARKET UPDATES :
- The Straits Times Index (STI) ended -11.25 points lower or -0.33% to 3415.91, taking the year-to-date performance to +1.51%.
- The FTSE ST Mid Cap Index gained +0.07% while the FTSE ST Small Cap Index declined -0.23%. The top active stocks were Sing- Tel (-0.94%), UOB (-1.25%), Noble (-5.41%), CapitaLand (+1.11%) and DBS (+0.16%).
- The outperforming sectors today were represented by the FTSE ST Utilities Index (+0.45%). The two biggest stocks of the FTSE ST Utilities Index are United Envirotech (+0.31%) and Hyflux (+1.11%). The underperforming sector was the FTSE ST Basic Materials Index, which declined -1.24% with Midas Holdings’s share price unchanged and Geo Energy Resources’s share price declining – 2.54%.
- The three most active Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs) by value today were the SPDR Gold Shares (-1.00%), IS MSCI India (-0.99%), ISHARES USD Asia HY Bond ETF (+0.28%).
- The three most active Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs) by value were Ascendas REIT (+0.83%), CapitaMall Trust (-0.48%), CapitaCom Trust (+1.13%).
- The most active index warrants by value today were HSI25000MBeCW150330 (+4.90%), HSI25000MBeCW150429 (+3.90%), HSI24200MBePW150429 (-2.65%).
