The dollar maintained its rising trend on Monday in Asia amid signs of a lackluster outlook for major economies such as China and Japan.
The Chinese data weighed the Australian dollar, pushing the commodity-linked currency AUDUSD, -1.37% to US$0.7589 from around US$0.7680 late Friday in New York.
The euro EURUSD, -0.24% fell to $1.0592 from $1.0606 late Friday and was at EURJPY, +0.04% ¥127.62, compared with ¥127.58, according to EBS. The dollar USDJPY, +0.32% was at ¥120.46 from ¥120.30.
