SINGAPORE share prices opened lower on Friday with the Straits Times Index (STI) down 0.09 point to 3,531.52 as at 9.03am, paring gains made most of this week. Wall Street closed lower overnight.
Top losers in early morning trade included the Singapore Exchange, after the bourse operator said this week it was not in talks to set up a stock connect with China.
Some 159 million shares worth S$120 million changed hands, with gainers outnumbering losers 94 to 68.
