FOLLOWING Japan's stock market, Singapore share prices opened lower on Monday with the Straits Times Index (STI) down 5.31 points or 0.15 per cent to 3,507.69 as at 9.12am.
Top gainers in early morning trade included City Developments, Great Eastern and UOB.
DBS, which reported a 3 per cent rise in first-quarter profit, was down 10 cents at S$20.98 in early morning trading.
Some 139.9 million shares worth S$111.6 million changed hands, with gainers outnumbering losers 109 to 75.
