June gasoline RBM5, +0.23% ended at $2.058 a gallon, up 1.7 cents, or 0.8%, while June heating oil HOM5, -0.02% was little changed at $2.005 a gallon.
Natural-gas futures saw their highest close since January after data from EIA on Thursday showed that weekly supplies of the fuel rose 111 billion cubic feet for the week, less than the 115 billion to 119 billion cubic feet increase analysts polled by Platts expected.
June natural gas NGM15, -0.03% added 7.3 cents, or 2.5%, to $3.008 per million British thermal units.
