In other metals, September copper HGU5, -0.02% ended nearly flat at $2.634 a pound. October platinum PLV5, -0.17% ended at $1,082.30 an ounce, up $1.60, or 0.2%, while September palladium PAU5, -0.20% shed $12.15, or 1.8%, to $666.45.
