In other metals trade, July platinum PLN5, +0.18% rose $8.60, or 0.8%, to $1,112.80 an ounce, while September palladium PAU5, -0.05% shed $4.20, or 0.5%, to $768.55 an ounce.July copper HGN5, +0.37% gained 1.6 cents, or 0.6%, to $2.736 a pound.
