On Nymex, August gasoline RBQ5, +0.82% rose 1.9 cents, or 1.1%, to $1.822 a gallon, while August heating oil HOQ5, +0.13% shed less than a penny to $1.598 a gallon.August natural gas NGQ15, +2.16% settled at $2.886 per million British thermal units, up 6.5 cents, or 2.3%. The August Nymex contract expired at the close. September natural gas NGU15, +0.38% rose 4.8 cents, or 1.7%, to finish at $2.864.
