In other metals trade, October platinum PLV5, -0.51% fell $6.70, or 0.7%, to $1,021.70 an ounce, while September palladium PAU5, -0.15% declined by $14,20, or 2.2%, to $642.90 an ounce.September copper HGU5, +0.02% settled down 1.4 cents, or 0.5%, at $2.522 a pound.
