SGX Stock Recommendations : Epic Research Singapore

MARKET UPDATES :

• The Straits Times Index (STI) ended 34.48 points or 1.05% lower to 3249.52, taking the year-to-date performance to – 3.44%.

• The top active stocks today were DBS, which declined 1.38%, Singtel, which declined 3.75%, Noble, which declined 11.86%, Global Logistic, which gained 0.81% and SGX, with a 2.43% fall.

• The FTSE ST Mid Cap Index declined 0.37%, while the FTSE ST Small Cap Index declined 0.36%.

• The outperforming sectors today were represented by the FTSE ST Basic Materials Index, which rose 0.96%. The two biggest stocks of the Index – Midas Holdings and NSL- ended unchanged and 2.01% lower respectively.

• The underperforming sector was the FTSE ST Telecommunications Index, which slipped 3.44%. Singtel shares declined 3.75% and StarHub declined 0.51%.

• The three most active Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs) by value today were : STI ETF (-0.30%) , SPDR Gold Shares (-1.27%) , DBXT MSCI Asia Ex Japan ETF (-0.67%)

• The three most active Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs) by value were : CapitaLand Mall Trust (-1.91%) , Ascendas REIT (-0.41%) , CapitaLand Commercial Trust (-2.40%)

• The most active index warrants by value today were : HSI25400MBeCW150828 (-11.88%) , HSI25200MBeCW150929 (-9.49%) , HSI24400MBeCW150828 (-11.32%)

• The most active stock warrants by value today were : DBS MB eCW151201 (unchanged) , OCBC Bk MBeCW151201 (-6.67%) , TencentMBePW151005 (+3.80%)
