SGX Stock Recommendations : Epic Research Singapore

MARKET UPDATES :

• The Straits Times Index (STI) ended 91.57 points or 2.9% lower to 3061.49, taking the year-to-date performance to -9.02%.

• The top active stocks today were DBS, which declined 5.53%, UOB, which declined 4.22%, OCBC Bank, which declined 5.75%, SingTel, which declined 2.51% and Noble, with an 11.40% fall.

• The FTSE ST Mid Cap Index declined 1.58%, while the FTSE ST Small Cap Index declined 2.18%.

• The outperforming sectors today were represented by the FTSE ST Industrials Index, which declined 1.11%. The two biggest stocks of the Index – Jardine Matheson Holdings and Jardine Strategic Holdings – ended 1.72% lower and 0.77% lower respectively.

• The underperforming sector was the FTSE ST Technology Index, which slipped 4.16%. Silverlake Axis shares declined 6.42% and STATS ChipPAC remained unchanged.

• The three most active Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs) by value today were : Sti Etf (-1.88%) , Is Msci India 100 (-2.13%) , Dbxt Msci Asia Ex Japan Etf 10 (-2.07%)

• The three most active Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs) by value were : Ascendas Reit (-0.44%) , Capitacom Trust (-1.09%) , Suntec Reit (-0.60%)

• The most active index warrants by value today were : HSI23800MBePW150929 (+38.93%) , HSI25200MBeCW150929 (-32.04%) , HSI24000MBePW150828 (+62.96%)

• The most active stock warrants by value today were : DBS MB eCW160104 (-55.00%) , KepCorp MBeCW160201 (-13.04%) , OCBC Bk MBeCW151201 (-30.12%)
