Forex Market Update : Epic Research Singapore

The dollar rose to its highest level against the euro in nearly three weeks Tuesday as traders awaited remarks from Federal Reserve Chairwoman Janet Yellen that they hope will shed light on the central bank’s intentions.

The euro EURUSD, +0.0449%  fell to $1.1130 late Tuesday in New York, down 0.5% from $1.1188, its level late Monday in New York. The British pound GBP, -0.92% also traded lower, recently trading at $1.5370, down 0.9% from $1.5370.

The dollar USDJPY, -0.24%  traded at ¥120.05, down 0.4% from ¥120.49 late Monday in New York.

The ICE U.S. dollar index DXY, -0.03% a measure of the dollar’s strength against a basket of six rivals, rose 0.4% to 96.2760.
