On Nymex, October gasoline RBV5, -0.52% rose 4.7 cents, or 3.5%, to $1.403 a gallon and October heating oil HOV5, -0.59% added 2.3 cents, or 1.6%, to $1.514 a gallon.October natural gas NGV15, -0.23% settled at $2.573 per million British thermal units, down 3.2 cents, or 1.2%.
