SINGAPORE shares opened stronger on Friday with the Straits Times Index up 22.94 points or 0.78 per cent at 2,969.97 as at 9.01am, after the minutes of the US Federal Reserve's latest meeting showed no urgency to raise interest rates.
Top gainers in early morning trade included Jardine Matheson Holdings, UOB and DBS.
A total of 65.4 million shares worth S$66.9 million had changed hands as at 9.01am. Gainers outnumbered losers 106 to 37.
