Oil futures finished with solid gains Tuesday, pushing Brent futures back above $50 amid concerns over supply disruptions in Libya and Brazil as traders awaited weekly crude-oil inventory data.
On the New York Mercantile Exchange, light, sweet crude futures for delivery in December CLZ5, +0.02% rose $1.76, or 3.8%, to end at $47.90 a barrel. December Brent crude LCOZ5, +0.04% on London’s ICE Futures exchange rose $1.75, or 3.6%, to settle at $50.54 a barrel.
