SINGAPORE'S benchmark Straits Times Index opened lower on Thursday at 2,858.96, down 24.68 points or 0.86 per cent, after an oil price slide ahead of an Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (Opec) meeting on Friday, and after US stocks fell the night before.At 9.01am, some 41 million shares worth S$83.4 million were traded. Losers outnumbered gainers 95 to 45.
Top stocks traded by value were OCBC, DBS, Singtel, Keppel Corp and Hongkong Land.
