SGX, Vard, Trendlines, Novo, GKE, IPCO

Here are some stocks to watch this Wednesday morning.

Singapore Exchange and a National Stock Exchange group company, India Index Services & Products (IISL), will launch four USD-denominated index futures on the local bourse. These include SGX Nifty Bank Index Futures, SGX Nifty IT Index Futures, SGX Nifty CPSE Index Futures and SGX Nifty Midcap 50 Index Futures. Earlier on Tuesday, SGX also announced plans to list contracts on the MSCI China Free IndexSM. These new SGX MSCI China Free contracts will expand the suite of China-linked risk management products available on SGX, with specific relevance to global institutional investors in China equities. SGX closed at $7.74 on Tuesday.

Shipbuilder Vard Holdings has signed a Letter of Intent (LOI) for the construction of four luxury expedition cruise vessels for French cruise company Ponant. The ice-class expedition cruise vessels will be 10,000 gross tons. Each vessel can accommodate 180 passengers (92 cabins) and a crew of 110. The vessels will be arranged with high class of luxury facilities on board. Vard closed at 19 cents on Tuesday.

Trendlines Group unit Trendlines Agtech has lost the bid for a licence operate incubator in Judea and Samaria region of Israel to competitive bidder. Trendlines Agtech, 95% owned by the group, says the loss of franchise is not expected to have material impact on group's earnings per share for the financial year ending Dec 31. The counter closed at 20 cents on Tuesday.

Steel trader Novo Group’s 3Q net loss widened to US$3.5 million ($4.8 million) from US$83,000 a year ago. Revenue fell 32.7% to US$45.9 million, owing to a substantial drop in selling price amid poor market conditions in resources industry. Its trading segment accounted for 78.7% of total revenue. Novo closed at 87 cents on Tuesday.
